Jumbe Mugo has spent more than 12 years at Cisco, evolving from a partner-focused professional into a dedicated Account Executive supporting major customers across East Africa. For him, Cisco is more than a workplace; it is a space where his values of integrity and professional impact converge.
Beyond his sales role, Jumbe is a passionate advocate for equity. As a leader of the Connected Black Professionals Kenya chapter, he partners with organizations like Women of Cisco to drive the real, necessary conversations that make the workplace safer and more inclusive for everyone.
His journey is also one of profound personal transformation. Once self-described as someone who wouldn't move, Jumbe now finds his balance through marathon running. Leveraging the Pavelka program, he views his running as a metaphor for his career: it requires endurance, consistency, and a commitment to leaving a positive footprint in every community he touches. Whether he is closing a high-stakes deal or logging miles in nature, Jumbe lives by a simple message for the next generation: find your support system, do the right thing, and never stop moving.
